High Shoals Falls, High Shoals NC 5507

High Shoals Falls is a stunning waterfall located in the eastern part of Pisgah National Forest, near the town of High Shoals in Burke County, North Carolina. This popular destination attracts hikers and nature enthusiasts alike. The trail leading to the falls offers scenic views and allows visitors to immerse themselves in the area's natural beauty.

The waterfall boasts a total drop of approximately 80 feet (24 meters) and features multiple tiers, creating a dramatic and picturesque effect. As I approached the main falls, I found myself captivated by the surrounding beauty. I could easily spend an entire week photographing the area and still not capture all its splendor. 

This location is undoubtedly the most impressive I've encountered so far, and I feel humbled as I continue to create biophilic art, thanks to the wonders of North Carolina.
